Why aren’t other attorneys doing this? I presume it has to do with the law firm’s policies or procedures (e.g. completing an intake), calendaring the consultation, etc. But since I am the owner, I get to create my own polices and procedures.
Other attorneys are not specialized in only immigration; they handle criminal, family, and bankruptcy, or other fields. Still others, just don’t know what questions to ask, process the answers, and ask follow up questions because they don’t know the field well enough. But I do because I have spent the last 15 years handling only complex immigration cases. In doing so, asking the right questions is like second nature to me.
The caveat to this is that you must fully disclose all relevant facts, so if you don’t know them, you need to find them out. In addition, I usually request that certain documents be sent to me so I can confirm that what I am being told is accurate.

This review is beyond overdue! In 2013 I was in ICE custody for 2 years waiting to be removed back to India but due to the lack of obtaining travel documents at the time I was finally released. Three years later I was picked back up saying that they have obtained travel documents and had my ticket ready. The ICE officers said that getting a lawyer would be a waste because there would be no relief for me. The lawyer I had at the time basically said the same thing. We wanted to be sure that all documents and paperwork were completed fully, accurately, and thoroughly, so we opted to use an attorney. We can't thank Dawn enough, wish we had started the immigration process with her in the first place. After filing for a status change in 2019 with uscis with a service because we were nervous to invest in a lawyer we waited 5 years with basically no responses after countless requests for information and back and forth. In 2024 we finally received a letter from uscis saying we needed to do a I-601 waiver and it was due in just a few months. I was also due with our baby in just a couple months and our lease had run out and we needed a new place all in the same timeframe. We didn't know what to do, it was so overwhelming but thankfully Dawn was refd to us by another friend she helped and even with the short notice we had and our circumstances she knew just what to do. It is not an easy process but if you follow her instructions and the professionals she recommends then it will be as easy as it can be. We expected to wait another few years to have a response due to provided waiting times with uscis but we just got approved this month! After 6 years, that wait is over! My wife and I got to know Dawn via Google. I got married to my wife who was a non U.S. citizen and we sought Dawn’s legal services. At the outset itself, we knew she was the one for us. We were able to count on her because she was so friendly and very clear in communicating what documents we had to produce . She sent us a map which indicated each step of our document process. Once, we had not sent the exact version of the document she wanted. However, Dawn spotted the issues and foresaw the negative outcome. *Long Post* - What an incredible, emotion-filled, blessed journey – I'll start from the beginning. I was here in the U.S on an F1 visa and had just completed my first year of OPT through a STEM subject in 2019. My international DSO informed me that my degree was eligible for a 2-year extension, so I filed the paperwork, wrote the check, and sent it in. Later that year, my world crumbled when I received a denial letter stating that my extension had not been approved.
I broke down. After a few minutes and a phone call with my girlfriend, I decided to start looking for immigration attorneys to assist me with my case. I called around and spoke to Dawn second. After a brief call, I contacted a few more places, but for some reason, my mind kept going back to Dawn. So I called back, initially thinking I was speaking to the office manager for Legacy Immigration; turns out I had been speaking directly with Dawn all along. I explained my situation, and we agreed to an in-person assessment of my case.
During the assessment, with only 60 days of grace period remaining, we developed a plan. We decided to file for a training visa that would allow me to remain in the U.S. for 12 months to continue my education. Dawn cautioned me that this would be a challenging case requiring extensive work and evidence. Undeterred, we had less than 60 days to compile everything for filing. The professionalism and attention to detail were exceptional. We submitted our filing and fast forward to later in 2020, my visa was approved!
During this time, a company wanted to sponsor me, so Dawn began the process of filing for my green card through EB3 sponsorship. Again, this was no easy task and demanded substantial effort. I broke down. After a few minutes and a phone call with my girlfriend, I decided to start looking for immigration attorneys to assist me with my case. I called around and spoke to Dawn second. After a brief call, I contacted a few more places, but for some reason, my mind kept going back to Dawn. So I called back, initially thinking I was speaking to the office manager for Legacy Immigration; turns out I had been speaking directly with Dawn all along. During the assessment, with only 60 days of grace period remaining, we developed a plan. We decided to file for a training visa that would allow me to remain in the U.S. for 12 months to continue my education. Everyone said It’s impossible for 20 years, and Dawn did it successfully within 3 years.
My dad’s case was very complicated involving a deportation order. Our family went through many immigration attorneys. No one was ever confident and professional as Dawn. I took an oath to “Advocate Vigorously” for you. I am passionate because I care so much, sometimes as much, or even more than my client. Why am I so passionate or why do I care so much?
